VOICE ARTS VALUE

We are at a critical time here in the USA and around the world and if we want to position the arts as an essential component in society as we move forward we need to have a sustained dialogue on the value of the arts. We need to [re]define the value of the arts. We need to express the human value.

VOICE ARTS VALUE:

A Campaign that will ask questions and share the stories of the power and impact of the arts from different perspectives; arts leaders, individuals, youth, artists, community workers, teachers, parents, anyone and everyone!

Tell the story as to how your arts organization has had an impact upon the community you serve.

Can you imagine a world without the ARTS? If you can not imagine that kind of world, then the arts have value. We want to tell the stories of that value!

A campaign expressing the continuum of value of the arts, and its’ impact upon our lives. It is about all those small and medium size arts organizations across the country and around the world doing amazing work, making an impact on their communities and the individuals who participate in their programs. It is about all those individuals who will pick up a pencil or make a video to express an idea or feeling. It is about how the arts can impact our health and wellness, how it impacts society.

It is about youth learning to express their voices through creativity.                                                                                                                   It is about the artists and designers who make a living through the arts and how the arts impact our built environment. It is about new theater pieces and the community theaters. It is about telling stories, it is about dance and music, poetry, photography, and film.

Special projects:

1.The VETERANS ARTS EMPOWERMENT PROJECT creativity, communication, healing

The ARTS empower us, express our freedoms, our values, our diversity, peace and our humanity.

The ARTS are good for mind and body. The ARTS are good for all of us.

This project will share the stories and art of veterans who have fought to protect the very democratic freedoms and values that the arts are all about-freedom of expression, equality, our humanity, and peace.

2. The Arts in Health Project

Healthy Individuals, Healthy Communities Through the Arts

The ARTS are vital to a healthy society, they inspire and empower. They help heal individuals and communities.

We want to share the stories of individuals, families, caregivers, medical professionals, arts therapists, artists and community workers as to how the arts have had an impact on their lives and or those around them.

Sometimes we need to stop and think about it to realize how extensive the arts are woven into the fabric of our lives.

We want everyone’s voice. Use your voice!

We must celebrate the power and impact of the arts!

Let’s start an Arts Revolution, where the arts are recognized as just as important to your mental health as exercise is to your physical health, where the arts are vital to healthy communities. Where the arts speak for social justice, human and civic rights. Where the arts are woven into our built environment as a springboard for everything else. Where the arts connect us all.
